In late May 2020, the Aberdeen Area Community Foundation made a grant of $1,000 to benefit Presentation College’s efforts to support its students who were stranded on campus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, typically because traveling home was impossible because of lockdowns or prohibitive cost, particularly for international students. PC has kept campus housing open for the students and provided funds for food. In addition, it has offered jobs on campus for the students that are funded by the College, not through federal financial aid. The AACF grant supports the costs of these jobs.

In addition, the South Dakota Community Foundation, through its program to match grants made by its Community Savings Account partners (like AACF), matched the grant, so PC received a total of $2,000.
