The Aberdeen Area Community Foundation recently awarded Housing Plus, Inc. a $2,500 grant from to support its Emergency Housing Assistance Program, which serves individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis. In part, the program can fill in gaps in other funding sources that make housing more difficult for families with low income.
AACF board members attended a board meeting to present the ceremonial check. Present were Aberdeen Housing Authority and Housing Plus board members Kathy Zerr, Jeff Mitchell, Executive Director Brett Bill, Emergency Solutions Grants Specialist Sharon Kissick, AACF board member Hannah Walters, AHA vice chair Karl Alberts, and AACF board secretary Robert Fouberg.
Housing Plus, Inc. was formed by the Aberdeen Housing Authority in 2021 to expand safe, affordable, and equitable housing and to create programs that meet the emerging needs of low- and medium-income people.
